Getting to Know You

Hi all,
Please take a minute or two and help us get to know each other. Tell us where and what you teach, and a little bit about yourself. Also, please let us know about your technology experience; what technology do you use in your classroom and your life?
I'll start off by telling you that I'm a Canadian, I love Thai food and dark chocolate and I have 3 bullmastiffs (in addition to my family of a husband and 2 college aged sons).
I've taught in Eugene at Kennedy for the last 7 years where I've been a language arts teacher, special ed teacher and reading teacher.
I used handhelds in my classroom as well as Keynote and Pages. I really love United Streaming and had my students blogging and doing podcasts. On the personal side, I'm hopelessly behind in my cell phone technology (mine doesn't even take pictures!) and I don't have an iPod. Most of the time, I can figure out how to get the TV to work and I can even program the DVR!
